Hello everybody,

the morning in Vila Franca do Campo started with a lot of rain, but nevertheless we were all happy and excited to go out in the ocean 🙂

At first we joined a group of Common Dolphins, which were not far away from the coast. It was a group of adults and calves. They came close to our boat and were very active at the surface. Later they started moving a bit faster, probably to hunt some fish.  They were accompanied by birds, the Cory’s Shearwater.

After we left this group of Common Dolphins, we reached a group of Bottlenose Dolphins. A few individuals came close to our boat and it was good to watch them this close.

The third species of our morning tour were Striped Dolphins. It was a big group and they were moving very fast and always changing their direction of motion. They did not stop moving, very nice and dynamic animals.

Finally, the weather changed and it became sunny, warm and the sky turned into blue.

I hope you enjoyed the tour this morning 🙂
