A door to the future

Guide Nuno + Client Milou – back in 2009

This is a personal little story written by Terra Azul guide Milou.

I remember very well, my family and I going onboard TAII, as clients on a holiday in 2009, wearing the old orange lifevests. During the trip I would go out of my seat to sit on the yellow rubber bands, reaching out for the dolphins, and former guide (Nuno Agua) had to call me to sit back in my chair for safety. Very responsible.

That is 7 years ago…. Tiago Batista was skipper of that trip but we didn’t meet or talk until the next year in 2010. After the holidays I sended some pictures of the trip to past office manager, Melissa Sousa, who later invited me to come back the next summer, to work. This 1 little trip had then decided my life path and given me so many opportunities! Terra Azul got me addicted to the ocean life, and after 2 seasons, I decided to become a Marine Biologist. I will always be thankful to all it has brought me, and above all – a door to the future!
