Hello everyone!

Last Saturday, on the 15th we had our Beach Clean Up.

The beach we cleaned was the one next to the marina of Vila Franca do Campo – Vinha d’Areia beach. Our activity started with a small briefing to explain how the activity would run and also some awareness about the subjcet.

After the briefing we started to clean. Although the beach was cleaned in the begining of june, there is still garbage that comes from the sea or people leave it on the sand and even it flies from the bars nearby.

By the end of the activity we weighed what we collected…most of it was plastic, around 3,1 Kg and cigarette butts.

Let us not forget that more important than to clean the garbage is to prevent it from going to the sea/floor by reducing it and replaceing it with more sustainable alternatives and recycling!

We will be waiting for you on our next clean up!
