Today was a great day! With the weather conceding us a truce we were able to spend the whole day at sea. After almost a week on land it felt especially good!

The morning started with a young blue whale and a group of common dolphins.

The afternoon trip started with a curious group of common dolphins that played around the boat. However, they were interrupted by an adult blue whale that was calmly swimming by our side.

Did you know that individual blue whales can be identified by the “spot” pattern on their backs?

You can easily see the spots on this picture of a blue whale taken a few days ago

The day ended wet and salty with another sighting of the big blue!

Keep tuned for more news of our tours! 🙂
