Today was a day with a lot of contrast. In the morning we had rainy skies which soon turned into bright sunlight, following by 1 shy Finwhale, a small group of Common Dolphins, and the tiniest Loggerhead turtle that I had personally ever seen in Azores. Very sweet!

In the afternoon it was warm and sunny and we were completely alone in the presence of 1 large Finwhale mama together with a small baby. A unique sight! They were traveling towards the east in peace.

After what we thought would be a real “whale watching” experience, and expecting no dolphins for this trip, we left and suddenly found a large group of Striped Dolphins. They were flying high through the sky as usual. Will they ever stop?

At the 16h late afternoon trip we saw the Striped Dolphins again. And finally starting from now on it seems like the next week some good weather will arrive again! Keep an eye out here for more news 🙂
