Today Terra Azul made three new friends 🙂

We first met a nice group of spotted dolphins, which as usual approached us with high jumps. We though didn’t stay too long as our lookouts Filipe and André already had detected other wildlife a bit further away. We decided to leave the area also because our other boat was about to start the activity of swim-with dolphins and less boats around the better for the dolphins 🙂

While cruising we met a group of about 10 bottlenose dolphins which were travelling and soon started foraging. However, our final destination was where Filipe and André spotted the mysterious species 😉 And there we finally arrived. At first we didn’t see anything and then all of the sudden.. there she blows! A Sei whale surfacing next to our boat, and then another one and then another one! The three whales kept milling around our boat, which is not that usual for this species. We already had encounters with curious fin whales this year, but sei whales always tended to be a bit more elusive or at least to keep further distance. Today they decided they liked us and kept approaching, so we had the chance to stay with them for a while 🙂

We enjoyed our time in the company of these three new friends and we hope we will find them again tomorrow! Wanna join us? 😉
