The season is changing, and brought us dolphins today!

Although hurricane Ophelia has left us, it seems like she also took away a few degrees from the temperature. It was definitely the first morning that it felt colder at sea. It was still wavy – those are the usual aftereffects of a big storm.
But…it was safe and we managed to go out and find a huge group of about 200 Common dolphins.

 

 

Because of the seastate it was not possible to find more animals today, but that’s ok, sometimes they need a break and we got our huge group of Common dolphins anyways 🙂 They were feeding between the birds as usual, and surfing in the waves as they like to do, to save their energy.

In the next days we will find out of our migratory species like the Atlantic Spotted dolphins and Sei whales are still here or if they left with Ophelia 🙂 let’s find out!
