Hot days and Striped Dolphins

Hello everyone!

What day today…

We started off with a group of Striped Dolphins (Stenella coeruleoalba) and this time they were not “running”. They were very calm for the normal speed travelling.

Then we went to search for Sperm Whales (Physeter macrocephalus), we put the hydrophone under the water and we could hear a lot of clicks, we just had to wait. A mother and a calf came to surface…how beautiful was their connection! At a certain point, the mother turned the body upside down and the calf was very active.

In our return we sighted a very curious group of Atlantic Spotted Dolphins (Stenella frontalis), they came close to the boat and we could see juveniles and calves!
