Whale Watchers Are You Ready?

When Whale Watching, one must be prepared to experience adventure yet in order to do so sometimes we have to be patient, like yesterday…

As you know Sperm Whales (Physeter macrocephalus) are deep diving species, meaning that when showing their fluke like on this picture taken yesterday during our tours, the whales are searching for food in the depths of the Ocean and stay under water for at least 40 minutes.

 

 

Our guest where enthusiastic and patient, while waiting on the whales. So if you are reading this and have never done Whale Watching, we always recommend to bring water, sunglasses, a hat to protect yourself from the sun and good vibes. Waiting on the boat was worth it, when seeing these animals resurface.

 

 

Before patiently waiting for the whales we were lucky enough to spot a group of Bottlenose Dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) and a pod of Common Dolphins (Delphinus delphis).  Each species of dolphins being unique and graceful underwater. We enjoy so much to share information about how species of dolphins vary greatly and can not be just seen as category, rather as being unique species living or migrating in the Atlantic waters.
