Rain never stopped whale watchers from sailing to the ocean !

A very warm morning at the base, people asking if they should take a water-proof jacket. The answer is YES , YES , YES and YES. One should always take a water-proof jacket, we would soon discover why. The water was filled this morning with Risso’s dolphins. Risso’s dolphins have no beak but rather a watermelon shaped head. The are scared from the head to the mid part so they have a very white head if old. Young individuals have less scarring, this occurs as part of their social interactions.

We continued our navigation route to find a group of dolphins, this time it was Common dolphins. But surprise surprise the rain caught up with us. We did not cared, we were wet and enjoying the sea. Suddenly in the waters a Manta ray was there, we just saw the shadow underneath us, but it was amazing to observe a large animal like that next to our boat. We also saw a very small turtle, it is amazing to know she survived and she is in the area in order to develop and grow. So in a nutshell another good day for our amazing and funny whale-watchers of this morning.
