Bottlenose Dolphin showing off.

This morning we went out on the sea to find a great variation of animals and weather conditions.
We started with calm seas and a big group of Bottlenose Dolphins and Common Dolphins near Vila Franca do Campo. The Bottlenose Dolphins were extremely active and at all times male-to-male fights took place! Interesting to watch nature on high power!

Than we moved towards Ponta Delgada where the ocean was wilder, but very much worth it because we got to see a Sperm Whale and his fluke going down! Once more the Azorean weather showed us how local the conditions can be and how quickly that can change. During the trip we also sighted a Loggerhead Turtle and several Flying fish.

Since we got a free shower on the boat we had a cup of tea to warm up, in our office, and than it was time to lunch!
I think this bird agreed with that….
