The Best of Two Worlds

Hello everyone! Today was a day out on the sea and it was a good one. Today we saw a group of common dolphins and at first it seemed that they didn’t want to know about us and then a few minutes later we saw that they were in feeding mode, that’s why… But then they started to jump a lot to confuse the fishes and catch them. We even saw the fishes jumping out of the water, it was nice.

Then our lookout told us that on the west side there was a Fin Whale and so we went. When we arrived it was a bit dificult to spot the baleen whale because it was also in feeding mode and so it was always moving. Finally we saw the Fin Whales, eventually they were two. As the boat was on the right side of the whale, we could see the white pigmentation on the lower jaw and throat, it’s a unique feature that this whales have. We also could see one of the whales open their mouth to feed, this type of feeding it’s called lunge feeding.

And this was our trip today, with sun and the best of two worlds: whales and dolphins. I hope you enjoyed and hope you visit Terra Azul soon.
