It was such a calm and pleasant day today! Not much is going on in our marina at the moment, as winter is preparing to come, the sea was calm today and there was barely and wind, but we had 8 people ready to go out with us this morning!
We left the marina with a big rainbow, and at the end of the rainbow was a big group of Common dolphins happily surfacing around. It was a beautiful sight as they look kind of like a rainbow themselves, having 4 colours 😉
After staying for about 1 hour with this group of more or less 100, we went very far out to find a Sei whale! At least, it was most likely a Sei whale but it could have been a Bryde’s whale as well. In this case the whale did not surface very close to our boat so it was not easy to determine between the two, but most indications were leading us to the Sei whale! Including dorsal fin, blow formation and diving periods.
Hopefully the weather stays on our side and are we able to continue going out this week 🙂
