Hello everyone!
Can I just say how wonderful it is to be in a place with such a huge biodiversity?!?
Let me explain… Today we saw not 1, not 2, not 3 but 7 species!!! All in one morning! How amazing is that!?!
As soon as we left the marina, our lookout had already a group of Atlantic Spotted Dolphins (Stenella frontalis). We could also see the Risso’s Dolphins (Grampus griseus) and they were very calm and incredibly curious about us and our guests 🙂
Changing locations, we sighted a big pod of Striped Dolphins (Stenella coeruleoalba) and they gave us quite a show, travelling really fast, sometimes dozens of individuals jumping at the same time..woah!!!
On our way to find the Sperm whale (Physeter macrocephalus) we saw a small group of Common Dolphins (Delphinus delphis), they were resting and quite elusive.
Last, but not least, we got to see a pod of Short-Finned Pilot Whales (Globicephala macrorhynchus)!
On the way back to the marina we also found a couple of Loggerhead Turtles (Caretta caretta), the cherry on top of the cake!
And this was our morning, full of life!
I hope you have enjoyed, see you at Terra Azul!
