It is so warm today! During the briefing the sweat was already on our backs so it was good to go on the refreshing ocean. Does that explain why the Spotted dolphins where flying to the sky today, to get some refreshing wind in their faces? 🙂 1 individual could not help himself but jumping out meters into the sky over the course of 20 minutes. It gave some awesome photo opportunities and good memories for our eyes.

No need to go to seaworld to see a dolphin show.

fast he goes!

Then we found some Common dolphins, and the reliable Bottlenose dolphins that were in the mood to surf in front of our other boat TA II.

typically called “bowriding” behaviour that some species – in this case Bottlenose dolphins – like to do.

“Peace for nature” says this little girl, who sits together with our Biologist “Marine” at the bow of our boat.

Our afternoon trip started with very shy Common dolphins, foraging under the surface and then we had a lovely group of spotted dolphins . After a while, our very professional lookouts, Filipe and André, managed to find a family of 5 spermwhales further from the coast and… what a special moment!!! A very curious and friendly juvenile came to check our crew and stayed playing in the back of our boat for a while 😀 AMAZING! Take a look to our pictures and you will understand how our afternoon was.

More news and species tomorrow! 🙂
