As you all know “Black Friday” received a lot of publicity as it does every year.
The main goal of this consumers-frensi is to cease the opportunity to get the best deals and to be the very first to take advantage of the many deals advertised.
We have all seen the movies and real life videos of people fighting in order to get that amazing piece of clothing or electronic device.
But really this article is to inform all of you about how being responsible consumers is our duty. We have nowadays fashion trends and with that, comes “Cheap Fashion” which is basically having access to trend items for a cheap price.
Of course this article is not to discourage you from getting that nice jacket or dress that you wish to have, but rather to encourage people to think about what we consume and think whether we really need to buy items of clothing that need on average 145 million tons of coal and 1.5 and 2 trillion gallons of water per year to be produced.
Garments are not always donated and if torn or no longer desired, are thrown into the garbage bin, polluting our soils and water sources.
So this post is not to make anybody feel guilty but rather conscious about what we purchase, especially during this time of the year were the big industries push us to consume as much as we can.
Buy responsibly and happy First of December !!!
