We went out with a cold Northern wind today! But nature did not let us down in terms of animals. We started our tour with a sighting of a small whale with a small dorsal fin. First we thought it was a Humpback whale! Then, a much larger animal that I can easily call a giant, appeared next to it, and it was clear that we were looking at a mother and tiny Blue whale! It is the first baby Blue whale that we are sighting this season and it was very special, as it was so tiny! There is a good chance that it was only born recently, before coming on the migration from the South towards the North of the Northern hemisphere.
After a while we had to leave to give the whales some space, and we found a really active and interactive feeding group of Common dolphins! It was so much fun to be around them, as a lot of movement was going on and life was everywhere. To finish this tour we found a large group of Bottlenose dolphins, so we had 2 resident dolphins species on this tour, one of the smallest and one of the largest 🙂
