This morning was already showing signs of being a good day! The sea was in fact flat, which makes the ride smooth, safe and fun. There was a bit of fog though, but this never scares our lookouts, who, with their magic eyes can spot anything at the horizon 😉

So, we started our pleasant tour with a group of Atlantic spotted dolphins, which decided to show up again later on our way back. The group included many calves and young dolphins, giving the chance to appreciate the different coloration between them and the adults.

Later, a spread out group of bottlenose dolphins was steady travelling and we could observe a newborn surfacing next to its mother. The baby was really tiny, but it was doing well in keeping the same pace as the rest of the group while coming up to breath 🙂

When we left the bottlenose dolphins, and started our way towards a “Sperm whale area” we found two lovely loggerhead turtles, the cherries on the cake! 😀 Well, the best layer of the cake was yet to come, a small group of Sperm whale, including a a large male, was resting at the surface. We could observe them from distance until the male started to swim in our direction and eventually passed next to our boat showing its big prominent head and the massive body. After several blows they took a deep dive.

A truly beautiful morning spent with beautiful animals and beautiful people 😀
