They call him Flipper Flipper !!!!!

Today we had a really amazing morning on the ocean in Azores in São Miguel, we saw the Bottlenose Dolphins (Tursiops truncatus). Our guests were really enthusiastic about observing these massive creatures under a blue ocean. The social skills they were demonstrating are always breathtaking.

But why is the Bottlenose Dolphins or also known as “Flipper” so famous ??

Photo : The adventures of Flipper the dolphin .

The reason is that the Bottlenose dolphin was the first dolphin species to be captured in order to participate in shows, television and aquarium displays. They are very smart and a lot of research has been made regarding this species. Yet there are a lot of misconceptions on how these animals really behave out there in their natural environment. I invite everyone to experience dolphins in their own habitat. The experience is not even comparable than seeing them in a closed environment.

The baby dolphins are so cute swimming alongside their mothers while they search for food.
